Post a New Job: Step-by-Step Process

Job Information

The job editor is a “What You See Is What You get” (WYSIWYG) style editor. There are two pages in total, one for your job and company information and one to define where the job will be posted to.

The WYSIWYG editor allows you to edit your job posting inline, allowing you to easily see what this will look like to the reader. This aims to help you more easily visualise your final job posting.

Job Information

Add job information including the physical location of the job, attributes (permanent, full time, etc) desired career, education and experience levels and salary information. As 98% of jobs posted with Monster are Permanent, Full Time, these options are preselected. To change this, click on the arrow and select a new option.

Contact Method

Add information about how you would like candidates to apply, and how you would like to filter these candidates in advance. The Job Posting Wizard is dynamic and you will see that common items are pre-filled in for you. E.g. Company Information and Contact Information will contain information you have already entered.

You may notice that many sections further expand as you enter information e.g. when entering Contact Information, if you need to add offline contact details, checking this box will expand information for Phone, Fax, and Mail. Checking “Mail” will further expand that section and display the fields you need to add the street address.

You can also select your application method within this section.

Apply Online: candidates will see an “Apply Now” button on your advert. When they apply through this method, you will manage all candidates using your free Monster account.

Email: enter the email address you would like applications to be sent to. The address will not appear on your advert and your candidates will only be available to you via your personal email account. Candidates will see an “Apply By Email” button on your advert.

Offline Contact: neither “Apply By Email” or “Apply Online” buttons will appear on your advert. Candidates will contact you using the information you supply. Ensure you check the box beside information you would like to appear on your advert.

Pre-selecting Candidates

If you would like to filter candidates in advance, and you are using the contact method “Apply Online” we offer you the ability to filter against Career Level, Minimum Education and Work Authorisation.

Simply check the box below your selected Contact Method option to see the criteria you are able to filter against. Work Authorisation will automatically be selected per the country your account is registered with.

When you choose to pre-filter candidates, applications that fail these criteria will be marked as “rejected”.
